Why are Paramedics paid so little?

Only takes about an hour on-line to get the haters and trolls to chime in. Fortunately, I was an EMT and have a full med kit at home, and have no need to waste my time with ****s like you.

Greetings fellow EMT's, help me, help you.

What kind of company would be able to fix these problems?... One No, please it's good to know. Frankly, this is all academic, but the goal is to inspire thought. One great example is the dispatch systems we use, which can run the gamut from 1960's radio equipment and pen and paper to...

Why are Paramedics paid so little?

Wish that were true. Rural towns may or may not have ALS services, but they don't have a growing pool of people who are willing to go through the equivalent of one month of full time work simply to get their Basic so they can volunteer. Sure they exist and bless them for it, but the CE...

Why are Paramedics paid so little?

Agreed, but how do you account for the 80%+ of EMS services that rely on volunteers? The time requirements and lack of incentives for training & CE would preclude lots of people who may be able to practice as a Paramedic on ambulances that would otherwise be downgraded to BLS service.

    Stretcher wars...

Thanks for that input. I would not buy without trying and I'm really thinking as much about crew as patient. I would think that someone would have designed a better carbon fiber option at this point. Still think it looks like a killer option and we're gonna look into other ways of reducing...

    Stretcher wars...

I'm specing out new stretchers for a BLS transport/ALS intercept concept. The Ferno 28-Z PROFlexx seems to be the only model that can become a stair chair (albeit, maybe a bit of a heavy one). Does anyone know if this meets the requirement (DOT or otherwise) of both the primary stretcher and...

Greetings fellow EMT's, help me, help you.

Hey Everybody, I have not been in the field in many years due to other business pursuits, but I have recently started a company focused on helping to solve some of the systemic problems that EMS systems and EMT's face which have not changed in decades since EMS evolved from meat wagons to...
