So, I used to work in a fairly busy system that covers multiple counties, we had about 24 stations and at each stations there's usually 2 crews. On an average shift each crew does about 3-6 calls a day. now, they also have BLS crews that handle the transports, or do BLS calls. I had one BLS...
SO , I saw the thread on how to buff calls in NYC and it inspired me to make this,
back in the day, not to long ago .. I used to be a buff when I first started in this field. I used to carry my radio everywhere waiting to " save a life ". I'd go to EVERY call regardless of what I was doing...
This answer was the most realistic one i've read so far, I know im not amazing as im new .. noones amazing when they start, but im certainly not the worst. But even when i know 100% i did the right thing he still gives me a hard time.
So I have this one co-worker , and EVERYTHING I do is wrong, ( even if its not ) complains when I ask to many questions for an assessment ( they r relevant ) and complains when i dont ask at all .. Complains when I drive to calls to quick , but complains also when I go to slow for safety...

Okay so i'm a newly licensed EMT-B , I got it about 4 months ago. So as you can assume I don't have a ton of experience in the field , however, i DO know what i'm doing.

I'm a brand new EMT and whenever we get a call I can't take lead .. The patient assessments we learned in class just don't seem to apply.. I'm confused , Are you supposed to stick with what you learned in class and do the exact TEXTBOOK patient assessment? Or do you just have to go through the...
Good news, They told me a couple months ago they weren't letting people with GED's only in to active duty, But it has since changed. I can reserve my MOS , I will be T2 but if i score well on my ASVAB I should still get the job I want . So now I am just waiting to take the ASVAB. I scored a 55...
Yeah i'm going to see a recruiter tomorrow so hopefully I hear some good news , But i've been hearing bad things like you don't even get to pick the MOS you want if you are a tier 2 ( ged no credits ) applicant .. which would not be good.
