I was talking to my Aunt the other day, who has been a CNA for about 10 years, and she said I should just take a CNA course instead, which is even easier than EMT, less stressful, and the pay is the same amount or even higher in some cases.
Apparently it's also much easier to find a job in...
You've never been depressed before than. It is very crippling. I know that when one of my family friends husband died, she had to be on antidepressants everyday for a very long time otherwise she would not have been able to function at all. That is when suicide seems like a great choice instead...
I found out the class I was looking into takes up to 40 students. That seems super high to me, no? How can you get a good experience from being in a class of that size? There's no way 1 instructor can actually do much one on one work with 40 students..
Is it just a money grab course by the...
Is there a way to find out how in demand EMT jobs are in your area? I asked the contact person who is associated with the EMT course if it was easy to find a job as an EMT-B and I was given this answer:
"Yes it is. There is a large turn over in this field."
What do you think?
I've been reading a few horror stories from EMT's describing what they have seen and probably what all EMT's will eventually have to see when responding to calls. Some really horrible stuff was described.... decapitations for example?
How bad does it get really? What are some calls that you've...

In addition to the traditional lecture component, there is a mandatory “ride-along” observation time on an ambulance and in the Hospital Emergency Department.
The program costs $750 per person, and additional $125 if you want the books included. The duration is...
I don't like it either.... I think it's much worse in HUGE classes where there's 20+ people gawking at you waiting for you to screw up or freeze up or do something stupid.
It's not really the same as when you've graduated and are in the field. You have your partner...and who cares about the...
I see some places offering the classroom portion online. Is that something good to do? Where would you go after completing the classroom portion though? Would you be able to show an instructor that you already completed a portion of the course and skip to the hands on stuff ?
