Where would be a good place in CA to start working as a Medic straight out of school with decent pay?
Any company that will hire you. In CA you're not going to find a job as a non fire department paramedic where you make great pay.
My starting pay as a medic was around 42K/yr. Staring pay as a fire/medic can be as much as 98K/year.
As for what company will hire brand new medics it all depends on what area/s you are looking at.
What he said. Use the search feature. There is alot of threads on Central Cal. Great info in them.
Fer real!? I mean... It is Fresno, but that's almost worth a commute for anyone within a couple hours away. Better practicar tu Espanol before deciding on the is one I'll bet.American Ambulance is hiring. $6k sign on bonus $2k relocation
$1 raise every 6 months. Fresno.
Paid full 24's OT after 8.
I know somebody there that doesn't speak a lick of spanish and he loves it. Fire is BLS so its your scene.Fer real!? I mean... It is Fresno, but that's almost worth a commute for anyone within a couple hours away. Better practicar tu Espanol before deciding on the is one I'll bet.
Yea lol huge gang and meth problem. But if GSW's are your thing thats the place. I've heard nothing but good things from the field staff to one dispatcher they get treated very well.WHAT?! Man, I never thought I'd consider moving back to CA....
Oh, wait... I still won't... But that sounds like a sweet set up to get into! Decent pay/hours/BLS fire... Too good to be true... The catch: It's Fresno.

Not like you get to run LA county 911 calls as a medic. They also pay close to minimum wage for emts and slightly above for medics.Start getting experience here:
