PATIENTS who attack paramedics could be hit with ASBOs or sued by the ambulance service.
South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAMB) is adopting what it calls a "zero-tolerance" policy against those who abuse its emergency workers.
It is encouraging paramedics to report violent incidents to the police - but has also not ruled out taking its own action against attackers.
