Hi all!
New guy here, Stoked is the handle. I'm a pretty freshly minted EMT-B from Western Washington state, looking to expand on my knowledge base and grow.
A little about me:
I'm an old fart, rapidly approaching 40. I've been through a lot of jobs in my life (I have self-diagnosed employment ADHD ), including
2 years managing a national chain restaurant
7 years in LE as a deputy and then a city/county municipality officer (including DARE, SRO, PIO and SRT assaulter in both agencies)
7 years as a private contractor for DHS and some other agencies.
Now I'm just floating along, not really doing much. I'm still unsure if I want to make EMS a career, a part-time thing, or if I was just taking the training because it looked fun.
Ps- did my training at Remote Medical's WEMT here in Washington.
