working for PMT ambulance??? advice? tips?

Hello to all I am a long time lurker first time poster and I am curious about anyone who has worked for PMT ambulance in the past??? I am getting the job for medical hours to get into PA school and so far everything I have heard from employees past and present strikes me as negative. Any stories from people telling me about the place would be wonderful. I got the job but now i am having reservations about it.

If you are looking to get hours for HCE, take the job. Work full time until you have enough then quit, or stay on if it aint so bad.

Your experience will count towards your goal, and if you have problems with your job you have something to talk about during interview for PA school. One of the questions during my interview was, "tell me what you like and don't like about your job"

One of my interviewers at a PA program was a former medic, and current ER PA, we talked almost the whole time about EMS, MOEMS, and my company in particular.
