I just got home from a night shift with the provincial service. Had 11 calls total. Most interesting one:

Bunch of South Africans and Australian Immigrants are having a BBQ and generally having a good time, sitting on their porch.

Then 4 black doods come up from behind and tell them to shut up, they don't coz their half drunk, so they try to tackle the guys.

(Never try to be a hero)

The black doods decide screw this heroism thing, and empty their mags on them, and then throw them with their own bottles.

Result:

1 guy DOA, head shot.
1 guy nicked by 9mm bullet in neck
1 girl (dead guy's fioncè) nicked by bullet on scalp
and

1 guy shot 5x:
right chest, both antebrachiums, and both upper thighs.

2x Paramedics first on scene, then us (ILS&BLS). The guy wasn't intubated but had a coctail of drugs in him. and GCS 14.

Respond to hospital with him and there he is XRayed and chest drained and all those nice things.
And now 2hrs later we found out that in surgery, they found that all were just flesh wounds except for his 7th rib.

Now, i've had hundreds of GSW's, but this guy will have a story to tell his grand children over and over.
