Kinda long but thought this might help anyone who's struggling!

I took the NREMT for the first time back in early March, about two weeks after I finished my EMT course. I'm a senior in college so I really slacked on the studying part, completely bombed the test at 127 questions, and didn't pass ANY of the sections... absolutely terrible and I was really mad at myself.

So, I bought the package from http://www.emt-national-training.com/index.php two days later and started practicing. The site was okay but I didn't like the set up at all. Once that expired I searched this thread and bought http://www.jblearning.com/catalog/9781284075243/ - thought it was AMAZING! Loved the feedback provided and the questions were extremely similar to what I'd seen the first time, so I highly recommend it :)

As many have said (and what I eventually realized), the most important part of taking this test is just knowing HOW to answer the question. You'll get a lot of questions where every single answer is correct, but what they're looking for is the best answer in that specific situation. On most you can narrow it down to two answers just like any other test.
Don't add anything or use previous knowledge- ie: if they don't say the patient is unconscious, apneic, or pulseless then he/she isn't and a BVM probably isn't the best option! Alternatively, they give you information for a reason and usually none of it is completely irrelevant.

Anywho, I took a million practice tests, was nervous as heck, and ended up getting cut off at 67 questions. I was pretty sure I'd failed and was already trying to figure out when to take it a 3rd time but found out I passed this morning! :) So do NOT give up and really work at trying to fully understand the questions.

P.S. who would've guessed that sildenafil citrate is Viagra... cause I sure wouldn't have lol (that wasn't an exact NREMT question, just to be clear)

P.S.S. thanks to everyone who posts on this thread- definitely helps a ton!
