What value do you place on student evaluations of instructors, particularly in regards to non-quantifiable items?

For all the instructors and instructor managers out there:

What value do you place on student evaluations of instructors, particularly in regards to non-quantifiable items?

I consider non-quantifiable things like situational/self awareness, intellectual rigor/curiosity, professionally mature...and I put a premium on these. They usually correspond with high aptitude and ability for the quantifiable things like putting needles and tubes where they need to go, when they need to go there and when they don't.
