Should coroners be held to tougher standards?
The case of mistaken identity in the crash involving Taylor University students has given rise to big debate. Should coroners in Indiana be held to tougher standards? The tragic on accident on I-69 in April led authorities to mistakenly identify two Taylor University students.
"Clearly the protocols for identifying the deceased were not followed," said State Senator Patricia Miller.
In response, Indiana lawmakers are holding hearings on possible new standards for 92 county coroners across the state.
