Our Community Rules have been updated. All members need to take a few minutes to review them by clicking on the green Community Rules link at the top of every page.

Here's the Cliff Note's version:
User Signatures
EMTLife.com allows members who have met certain criteria to post signatures in their profiles. These signatures are then shown on every post a member makes, throughout the forum. As such, the following are the criteria for members wishing to use signatures in their profile:
  • A member must have over 10 posts to be allowed to use the signature feature.
  • Signatures may not contain any links to other websites. The EMTLife Team may allow links in signatures on a case by case basis. Our decision in these matters is final, and not subject to debate or appeal.
  • Signatures may not contain wording that violates any of our forum rules or be political in nature. This includes both real-world politics and the politics within the EMTLife community.
  • We reserve the right to modify and amend these terms at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to remain informed of current EMTLife.com Community Forum policies.

New Signature Rule added

Based on the actions of a few, a new rule has been added to the Community Rules.

For all of those who had signatures that have violated this rule, we have edited your signature to meet our expectations.

Use the Contact Us feature, which can be found at the bottom of every page.

Provide us with the link and why we should allow you to post it.

Spamming us with large amounts of requests will not be tolerated.

Read this in another thread and wanted to comment:

"If you've read the thread about the forum responding slowly for some who show defiance towards the mods, you'll see what I mean."

If everyone isn't aware, there actually are add-ons to VBulletin to do these types of things. In my experience being a mod is a thankless job, and is a lot of hassle. Try not to piss them off, cause they can do things to mess with you. If you have a problem with them, Private Message them.

It played a part, but we also took into consideration other things that have happened over the past five years.

No public criticism of the mods? Heh. Don't lock the thread, you'll probably need to add a few more rules.

Speaking of rules, anyone know the First Rule of Holes?

This thread has served it's purpose in notifying members of the rule change.

Thread closed before anyone digs themselves into a hole.
