Are you an EMS provider? Some basic research will give you the info you seem to want.

Defibrillators are used for either cardioversion or defibrillation. You may want to research pediatric joule settings, cardioversion joule settings, the difference between monophasic and biphasic waveforms and the basic use of defibrillators for both cardioversion of tachycardic rhythms and lethal VF and VT.

I suggest “google scholar” to get peer reviewed articles on the efficacy of different joule settings for converting specific arrhythmias.

Good luck.

Usually the higher joule settings are for defibrillation while the lower settings are used for cardioversion.

The lower settings are also used for pediatric patients since the joule setting is weight based.
