Relevant jobs with EMS experience?

Anybody have a decently long EMS career only to change jobs into a non-EMS field, but was able to use their EMS experience as a foot in the door? I've been in EMS for 17 years, am currently in middle management, but just see EMS as a dead end unfortunately. Weighing options. I only see police as a viable alternative (I have ZERO interest in firefighting).

CarnivoreMedic413, I suggest a different approach: Start by thinking of jobs you'd like to try, find out what the prerequisites are, then narrow your list to what's feasible. For example, if your dream were to be an airline pilot, the cost of training and the time it would take might be prohibitive, but there would be other occupations that required much less investment of time and money and were almost as attractive to you. Don't forget to consider self-employment.

I think you'll find your EMS background is a plus, no matter what you do next.
