Hey guys need some help,

I got my EMT at 18 and I'm due in march for my re-cert. I have a few questions, first off, I'm an inactive EMT and could not find a job for the life of me at a er in the valley after my completion of EMT in January of 2010. My question is, since Im not working do I need to do the 48 hour re-cert classes or the 24? My uncle is a ff/EMT in Kansas city ms and he said they are switching to the 48 hour required. I'm just curious what I need to do to keep my national?

There's lots of info here. People can be kinda gruff but don't take it personally.

If I'm reading that right, you CAN'T recertify if you're not actively working as an EMT.

So if I'm working as an EMT I still need to take some sort of classes? As if I have the time or money for that. Stupid NREMT!
