Moving to Houston Texas area sometime soon (not to sure exactly yet) I'd like to get into a paramedic program, was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Also any criticism on schools or personal experience info would be great!

Thank's "Y'all" .

I got my EMT through Lone Star North Harris. we had two teachers for the five week class through HFD. The HFD teacher was great, but the civilian teacher was awful. The class overall was good, but the person in charge of getting students into the class does not reply to emails and is generally difficult to get in touch with. That being said, I would recommend Lone Star over HCC. I got my AEMT through HCC and they dont teach the book very well. they do practice the skills extensively though.

College of the Mainland and Galveston College are ok, with preference to CoM. San Jac is hit or miss, and I believe one of their campuses no longer has EMS.

+1 for Lone Star Cy-Fair. It's a bit of a drive, but it is way better than I've heard from other programs.
