I am looking at moving to North/Northwest Nevada late this year and was wondering how REMSA out of Reno and Banner Health out of Fallon compare in terms of: pay, work schedules, promotion opportunities, call volume, and so forth. I'm currently a firefighter/paramedic from the Midwest but looking to move out west and put some time in with an ambulance service until a firefighter position opens up out there. After that I would still probably try to keep the ambulance thing up as a side job. Anyone with any insight in this can you give me a lil info? Thanks.

Bumping this thread from the dead because I actually have the exact same question:

@Handsome Robb , what is REMSA like?

@FuegoParamedico PM me and we can chat.

There's a couple threads on here about REMSA that I've posted in.

In summary it's a good place with great people, moderate protocols, very busy, system status management.

I tested with Banner but I only know what I was told during the interview and have heard from others.

If you like middle of nowhere, HGH EMS might be an option. Hell, it's one I was considering before I got out this far in texas
