It too expensive.... the county EMSA wants something for nothing. You get what you pay for. Its unreasonable to get grade A service with Grade C funding.

You know, they might get another company to bid.... maybe even a smaller and cheaper one.... but how much do you want to bet that the company either doesn't meet the requirements specified in the contract after 2 years, or says it's fiscally impossible to meet the requirements without additional funding?

That exact situation happened with a local private called WestMed. Did not go well, AMR saved the day.

This already happened in Monterey!!! Haha, again?! By the way, this is happening in Santa Clara County as well and potentially sooner. I think in the couple of weeks, if the contract is extended, Santa Clara County will become non exclusive as well.
