Do you have what it takes to become a member of a Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept. Search and Rescue Team?
The Malibu Search and Rescue Team is seeking interested men and women to become Search and Rescue Reserve Deputies (volunteers) with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to perform search and rescue missions in the Santa Monica Mountains and throughout the county and state.
To become a Reserve Deputy, you must be at least 21 years of age, a U.S. Citizen, as well as pass a thorough background check and successfully complete a Sheriff Academy. No drug use within 12 months and no felony arrests or convictions.
Please join us for an orientation meeting. Participants will learn all about the types of missions you would train for and perform and what it takes to become a member of this prestigious rescue team. Living or working within 20 miles of Santa Monica Mountains is preferred (but not a deal killer).
