Job Description



SCOPE:

Under direct supervision of the Director of International Operations and in collaboration with International Operations PMO, the International Ops Training Manager provides training and program/operational support. They will work with all members of the International Operations team and other internal CHS departments as required to facilitate operations and support of recruitment, staffing, logistics and mobilization of deployed personnel. While primary duty location will be Cape Canaveral, FL, the employee must be available to deploy on short notice (24 to 48 hours) for short-term assignments both CONUS and OCONUS (including hostile environments including Iraq and Afghanistan; but, not limited to those locations) to provide administrative and operational support as need. The employee will maintain and provide oversight to the International Ops training programs to include certifications as listed below.

Required Skills


REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:



At least one year of program support experience is required. Candidate must be detail oriented with superior follow-through and communication skills and a strong ability to multi-task, organize priorities and meet deadlines. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and be customer-oriented. Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Associate’s Degree or above is preferred. High School diploma or GED is required
  • State and National Registry of EMTs license as a Paramedic is required.
  • Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and ACLS
  • Must have knowledge of AHA and NAEMT guidelines for course instruction.
  • Hold and maintain HIPAA certification
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular medical care field
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems. Experience with Practice Partners is a plus.
  • Sufficient EMT or health care administration experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Clinical, Health care administration experience is desirable
  • Additional certifications such as PHTLS, PALS, and EVOC as provider or instructor is desirable. If successful candidate does not currently have instructor certification in ACLS, BLS, PHTLS, or PALS, candidate will be required to complete and successfully achieve instructor certification as a condition of continued employment
  • Deployed/Operational medicine support experience is preferred
  • ServSafe certification to include certification as ServSafe proctor for testing preferred
  • Certification as a Urine Drug Collector preferred
  • Proficient to advanced capability in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Required Experience:



  • Must have or be able to obtain the following clearances: Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust (DoS MRPT), Department of Defense Secret Clearance (DoD Secret), or a Favorable Name Agency Check (NAC-I)


  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinates with AHA training center to include coordination with U of M and the Ryder Trauma Center
  • Coordinates with International Recruitment to conduct training of deploying personnel to include, but not limited to, Austere Environment Introduction, EMR System Training, and Medical Readiness
  • Performs Feedback Surveys for analysis and training improvement within International operations
  • Monitors and tracks Medical Readiness of International personnel to ensure that medical exams and immunizations are up to date to include scheduling of exams as required
  • Monitors and tracks employees that have presented with medical issues and/or sentinel events and acts as liaison between Workmen’s Comp Team, OCONUS and CONUS Program Management, and the Medical Exam Operations Department
  • Monitors HIPAA Training certifications
  • Monitors Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Training
  • Coordinates scheduling and tracking of training as required by client and CHS policies and standards
  • Supports/provides UDS training and provides support to UDS program OCONUS
  • Monitor/tracks CME training and reimbursement through financial and operational analysis
  • Anticipates emerging operational issues and provides solutions.
  • Answers questions pertaining to medical training and scopes of practice
  • Manages and updates medical training facilities, to enhance mission capabilities
  • Provides support to project management, operations, recruitment, staffing, logistics and mobilization of deployed personnel as required to maintain mission capability
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance CHS Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client
  • No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in Iraq is required by surface or air.
  • The climate is desert-like, hot, and prone to dust storms.
