Hurricane Ida

Anyone here activated? DRT, DMAT, FEMA? I got the call but sadly could not get off work this week.

Now just 7mph winds short of a category 5 storm, Ida is expected to annihilate the Louisiana coast this afternoon. Severe flooding and unsurvivable storm surge expected. All this to a place that is fighting a hard battle with COVID and losing, and that still has signs of Katrina, which landed 16 years ago to the day. Irony.

I know at least one USAR team is on standby. No word on DMAT but they tend to not publicize what they do or are thinking of doing.

Oh I saw a list of TF orders and there are numerous teams down there already. I think the preparedness game is strong with this one.

Yeah I'm sure there is a DMAT down there.
