Anyone have any info on Harnett County EMS in NC? From what I've been able to research pay is somewhat comparable to where I'm at now. These are my main concerns below.

What are the benefits like for full or part time?
Do they hire full time EMTs?
Do they have room for advancement?
Do they offer to put you through any schooling?
What are the shifts like? 12 or 24 hour?
Do you report to HQ at the beginning of each shift or do you have a certain station you report to?
Whats the call volume like? (Not the biggest concern, considering where im at now is one of the busiest in my state)

Have you checked out their websites? If not, you should check out http://www.harnett.org/ems/about-ems.asp

They do 24s on a XOXOXOOOO schedule, and likely have 12 hour shifts too.

Depending on how you define advancement.... here are the current supervisory positions: http://www.harnett.org/ems/meet-our-staff.asp So it's doubtful their will be advancement positions until an opening happens.

They do hire full time EMTs https://www.governmentjobs.com/care...ernal?keywords=&pagetype=jobOpportunitiesJobs

Schooling would be a great question to ask to their HR people; ditto benefits.

It's a rural EMS system, so call volume will likely be on the lowerside; however this will likely depend on which station you are assigned to. each unit is assigned to a station, all over the county, however since it's a county wide system, you can likely get pulled where there need is.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about Hartnett County EMS other than what I just read on their website, and educated guesses based on how other systems operate in NC
