IIRC, basics start in the low $50k's, and once medics finish their ALS internship, the pay is in the low $70k's when including ALS cert pay, hourly ALS riding pay ($2/hr on engine, $3/hr on ambulance), and two additional step increases granted over the basic FF. 56 hour workweek - 24 on/24 off/24 on/24 off/24 on/96 off
