just a content; I am a full-time employee working at a hospital and a full-time student pursuing nursing.
I fail the final emt exam twice, I pass the emt skill. the first time i didn't do enough studying, I was just doing practice question that will be on the NREMT not on the program that I am enrolled in, I took it with a limited knowledge basing it on the lecture. The program let us retest it again after we fail but this time it was either my Macbook or wifi issue, i have an older version of the Macbook from the early 2000's and throughout the day my wifi was slow, it took a full minute just to load a video after you click it. 1 hours in my test, I was experiencing outrage fail or something, there is no wifi and i check everything i went to my neighbor house, there wifi is slow they only pay 10 a month but i thought it was there, it started for a couple minute before i saw that running game again and it state no connection. after 1 day i went back to look at what i got, those question I didn't answer the computer mark it as wrong so I fail again.
Any advice?
P.s I already email the people, and I can't retest the test again just because I don't have 2k lying around yes I do work but those are to pay the bill. I feel so stupid and I was crying about it for day because I am really passionate about it and I really love it but I just feel like i am a failure because I fail both time.

I think ESL is part of the problem.
We have no idea what program you are in. Why didn’t you go to a testing center that has full access?

I didn’t take the NREMT it the final exam for the class along with the skill, I must pass the final in order to take the NREMT. The program is hybrid, I only met the instructor for the skill part but for the learning is all online. I don’t think they will give ESL access.

That’s a pretty standard practice for most EMS education programs. If you can’t pass the final exam after two attempts, your are dropped from the program and cannot attempt the NREMT cognitive due to non completion. Most programs will not make exceptions.

My suggestion is; find another program, use better study/prep material and commit all of your time and energy rather than studying when it’s convenient.

Harsh truth, but that’s the long and short of it.
