Im assuming you are fit to be an EMT.

not everyone who graduates EMT-B are fit to be an EMT...

to be hirable you should...

be professional looking with proper sized clothing and haircut

strong enough to life 150 pounds, all day long...

a licensed driver, hopefully no points

older is better, since they say 18 year old driving makes insurance cost more? don't quote me.

speaking multiple languages really helps

I meant to say large pool of qualifying applicants. I tried mid wood, hunter, lifestar, don't know what else to try

Be honest with yourself, if no one is interested in hiring you, and you applied everywhere, it isn't them, it must be you.

you may need to work on yourself before you head out there again.

maybe you need to...

change your style, look more like a professional.

fix your resume

get interview skills

find out what it takes to be a EMT in NYC, and discover what you are lacking.

get free help or additional training:

first of all I honestly believe I have those traits. I meet all the qualifications.
Second , I applied online , they haven't even seen me in person yet.
What you said is definitely true and it's kinda common sense, they have qualifications that they posted that need to be met. I was just hoping to get some names of Agencies who are hiring.

Great, but your question is kinda -don't have relevance-.

Its not like there is a list of EMT agencies that are currently hiring.

They are ALL currently hiring.

It depends on who is applying.

So many places need per diem EMTs...

all the time, EMTs either leave for 911, or go to Medic school or PA school or etc..

it is always a constant in and out with EMTs. Turnover rate is way high.

ANY BUSINESS wants high grade employees, and will bump hours off of lower grade employees to put in the high grade ones.

For example, If I were to send in an application that a cover letter that states these points:

NYS certified EMT looking for per diem transport.
State Score 90%
Perfect Driving Record, 0 points, 0 accidents. Driving Abstract Attached.
Excellent health, can lift 200+ pounds
Professional appearance and attention to detail.
Currently Volunteering with ______ agency in Brooklyn.
Letters of recommendations available upon request.

then since you are new, your resume of your old jobs should be tailored to match what they are looking for in EMS transport. even if it isn't medical.

Experience:

XYZ company. In charge of customer satisfaction, inventory management, and quality control of shipments and packaging.

ABC Restaurant: In charge of loading and unloading equipment and shipments of suppliles, inventory and restocking, and maintainance of company truck, general record keeping.

DCAPBTLS Newspaper. Delivery Person. In charge of route planning and the delivery of newspapers to customers in park slope Brooklyn. Responsible for invoicing for the accounts receivable dept. Filled out customer order forms and purchase reports..

Any *** job you ever had can be made to look delicious when you focus on specific aspects ( truthfully ) of your job.

EMT transport looks for

Logistics
Driving
Navigation
Customer service interaction
strength ( hard working jobs like bar backing, or mention sports in resume )
punctual ( as a point in reference letters )

....... forgive my spelling

NYS DOH has a complete list of agencies. also go to New Jersey. you can work NJ with NY cert. and apply for and receive NJ cert based only on your NY cert, no testing no nada. ( if your course was after the national adaptation in NY )

Putting your test score on any application material is incredibly tacky.
