First, I recommend searching the employment/job sections on each and every city/town/county website that you can. Municipal EMS is the most desireable form of EMS employment out there in regards to benefits and retirement. It may take some time to get hired, so apply to all the depts that you can. Next, check out area hospitals to see if they have EMS. They generally pay better than the privates, and have better benefits as well as career advancement opportunities in other areas of the health system.
www.emsresponder.com has EMS job listings. So does www.firehouse.com but you need to pay a small fee for that. firehouse's listings are more comprehensive than emsresponder. Pay the 7 bucks or so and take a look.
