Can anyone provide me with a list of ambulance companies that do critical care transports in and around the Denver area?

Is it mostly AMR run out in Colorado?

Several companies are in the CCT business, ironically AMR isn't one of them. AMR contracts it's CCT calls out to a company called Rocky Mountain CCT, however they are a very small company and only run with an EMT and an RN. Rural/Metro has a CCT rig affiliated with University of Colorado Hospital called Lifelink, however they mostly hire their EMT's and Medics from within Rural/Metro, and the guys that are there now have been there for a while, they also hire part-time RNs. Rural/Metro also provides EMT-B drivers for Airlife Denver ambulances, the two attending RNs are employees of Airlife/HealthONE. Flight for Life also operates ground CCT with a Medic, RN and EMT-B; competition is fierce for those positions however. These are really the only CCT companies in Colorado, Airlife and Flight for Life have most of the market across Colorado leaving little opportunity for other companies to step in. AMR and Rural/Metro operate advanced scope or advanced interfacility paramedics that are a bridge between CCT and ALS care, they operate pumps, vents, and manage infusions within their scope, but if you wanted to do that you would have to work as a medic for either company for a while and have them train you into the position.
Good luck in your search, PM me with any questions.
