They said it reduces the need for a head scan. But won't you still need one if it can determine location of severity of the issue?
If the test is positive, then yes I would assume a head scan would follow. But in the wartime environment where resources are limited and the closest facility with scanning capabilities could be some distance away, something like this could be used to triage potential TBI's and even rule them out (providing it proves sensitive enough), reducing the need for scans.
