So I've finished my emt-b national certification, and I've got some strong and ongoing volunteer hours under my belt(still looking for emt work). What courses should I be looking to take next besides local protocol courses required by my state(CA). Is it too early for me to dive into a full blown paramedic course? Are there any courses I can take to help prepare for the paramedic curriculum? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks guys!

If you're ready to start paramedic and your life situation allows, I don't see any reason not to jump into it.

If you're not quite ready to do that, then I think college-level Anatomy and Physiology I and II courses are excellent choices. Plus you can count 8 CEU hours for every college credit hour. So if A&P I is a 4 credit hour class, you can count it as 32 CEU hours towards recertification.
