I work for a "private transport company". My day's of boredom are spent driving around on BLS discharges which drives me freak'n insane! So, I hang onto my sanity by getting the high acuity ALS patients throughout the shift.

As other's suggested, take magazines (JEMS, etc), books, tablet PC, MP3 player, etc. Review protocols, check out the hottie nurses, take a nap.

My days at my private transport job are no more boring than my days at my 911 job were...

Books, computer, movies, ect.

If all else fails, try talking to another human being.
