Just curious on how NREMT-P score goes. There are 3 types of grading
[A] Above Average
[B] Nearly Passing
[C] Below Average
Obviously a passing is all Above Average, and failing is Below Average.
Whats the inbetween Nearly Passing about?
Failed the paramedic test, bummed out. I prepped for 3 weeks. Used JB-Learning Test Prep, and Barron's Paramedic book. Felt confident taking the test but that still wasn't enough. I'm still going to study again but at this point I don't know what other books or resources to use
Currently i'm on my 4th shift as a paramedic intern. I have no EMT experience as well and i'm already stressing out like crazy. My preceptor is really cool and calm when i run calls. But my problem is it isn't really clicking at the moment. He says i just need to run more calls but it just feels...
This question has been in my head ever since the paramedic program started for me. Class has been going well I've been on top of things. Just one minor thing that keeps kicking in my head. Is it going to be easy getting a job as a paramedic? I know it probably varies from different places...
Forgive me for posting or reposting this. I remember there was a thread on this subject but couldn't find any on the search engine. I'm starting medic school on june 16th. I just finished EMT-B last December of 2008. With no job experience or any EMT-B experience except few ride alongs. I...
Anybody attended this school for their paramedic training? I got an orientation today later today. Just wondering if anybody here heard or attended and have any comments/reviews about them.
I'm currently thinking about enlisting in the Army or USAF.
24 years old with an EMT-B cert. Probably won't get me much but i also have college credits along with an AA in biology sciences.
My question is, with all the bad times and bad economy right now.
Is it a good idea to be enlisting...
The moment i finished by class, i took the NREMT a week later and pass. Did all my paperwork and got them done. But having a hard time finding a job as an EMT-B  I'm in CA by the way, with the economy going so bad i'm having doubts if i'll ever get hired. I applied at various places...
Well, i just finish the NREMT, did the live scan and got my ambulance driver certs. Do i have to wait for a while until i can go apply for a job? or can i go anytime? Am i missing any other procedure? I'm in California by the way
You are called to the house of a 85 year old female. As you approach, you hear the patient begin to moan. You learn from the patients daughter that her mother was cleaning a kitchen cabinet and had slipped. In order to get a chief complaint, you ask the patient if she feels any pain anywhere...
A 60-year-old male went to get the newspaper and fell in his driveway between high snow banks. He lay there for nearly an hour before being discovered. He is alert, cold, wet, and appears to have a severely deformed open fracture of his ankle. The steps in management of this patient include...
Whats the difference between Trauma and Medical assessment
during the detailed physical examination? Beside the fact of "mechanism of injury" and "nature of illness"
Trauma we search for DCAP BTLS
Medical we don't use DCAP BTLS
But two of my instructors in my class says DCAP BTLS in...
Anyone an EMT-I and with AMR? Whats the starting wager they start you off with? I know money shouldn't be an issue in where you do what you love doing. But i'm still curious
I'm currently taking EMT-I class and i'm 21. I have no problem with the classes and i'm lovin it. My only problem is that i have tattoos, yes i did search but i don't want to bring an old thread back from the dead.
I'm not afraid of my tattoo being in the emt career because they all can be...
