I just took the practicals for NREMT-P. Visualize yourself on the call and verbalize everything that you do from start to finish. You have studied hard and should know how to effectively treat your patient as well as any pathophysiology that may come up. Know your drugs as well as the pathophys...
Try using your slang when you are testing for the registry and see how well that goes. There is a difference in joules as well as making sure that it is synchorinized at the proper time so you don't knock the patient into asystole.
Just wondering if anyone on here has used the EMT acheive to help study for the NREMT-P test. I have been using it and so far like it...just wondering what others thought.
I only have 10 weeks left until I am done with my paramedic course and then it's time for the registry...I have to figure out where I'm going to take it. In Nebraska they aren't doing any practical testing at a time that is convenient so I am going to have to travel :P
I did receive IV Certification as an EMT-B. My class was not an easy class, we were taught Paramedic level shock....along with lung sounds.

Wow...I am just finishing up my 1st quarter of medic school and I think this is great advice. I haved work with ALS for 5 years and cant seem to get my confidence up as a student...although I know this is the path I need to be on...I am going to think like a medic! Sounds too easy to be true...
