BLS paged for a 37yo with heavy bleeding. I was not on call. But run report states that the female has had 3 surgeries in the last month. The last one they had Inserted a "balloon" in her uterus. Question: why would dr's do that? She had obviously passed the balloon and hence the heavy bleeding...

I posted about the combi tube before and was told about the King tubes. I can see the differences, but are the king's classified the same way as a combi? Our BLS squad is cleared to use the combi, but I think its the King LT-D that I was looking at, so is it kind of a "same difference" type device?
