You arrive at a Extended care facility, you find the staff with the Pt. in a wheelchair. Now remind you the Pt. is severely mentally handicapped. Unresponsive to painful stimuli, and currently seizing........what do you do.

Just wanted to know if anyone is in the Pittsburgh, Pa area that have taken the NR written test? A few of my classmates have kept in touch and are all working in the field, and we wanted to find out were the centers are located.

B) Pretty cool call..dispatched to a 20 y.o. F 40 weeks pregnant in labor at a local pizza shop. My medic is a Female so I was happy about that! Pt. vitals were fine I put the 4 lead on her, medic ran a 18gauge and I prepped the GC for my medic to check her glucose, check out fine. Pt. stated...
Just finished all of my paper work and background check at Ross/Westview EMSA! Signed up for my first shift of O.J.T. (on job training) next Monday..can't wait! They are a great organization and I am excited to get my career rolling. I will be a third person for a few months, once 2 medics sign...
