What does your agency ride in...

We have 1-ton Dodge Rams. Love them. There are a few short-cab van rigs left in service and they are awful.

    Pennsylvania EMS

@pghmedic580 The job description link says there is a residency requirement. Employment is conditional on living within the city limits, is that correct?

    Trauma Shears Recommendations?

I really want to find a pair that are worth investing in because I love gadgets, but I just cannot justify the Raptors. Shears get left on scene, passed around to other providers and generally just wander off too often. I wish there were some nice ones in the 20 dollar range that were better...

    Pennsylvania EMS

Thought I would bump this thread as I may be moving to Western PA in the next year. I’m a medic coming from a busy, urban 911 system. Would like to stay as such. Please let me know if anyone has advice/input. Feel free to DM me. Starting on reciprocity now!

    First Code (observed)

Had my first this week. Hard to even call it a code since the POLST was found after about 30 seconds of compressions. I volunteer for search and rescue so I've been on recoveries before, so that part wasn't as shocking, but having the family there and having to witness the whole thing was pretty...

What does your agency ride in...

This thread is making me jealous. Especially when I'm in the GMC van-based rigs.

Medical jobs that work in the wilderness

AMR has a "reach and treat" team here for calls in the Mt. Hood area. Pretty sure it's staffed by medics only. Would be a fun gig for outdoors types

    Portland Oregon Hospital Tech Scope

Not that I've seen. When I did my rotation it was mostly what you describe. Also they all require at least one year of EMT experience.
