This happened this past Sunday. I waited to post it as it is my department that was involved.
Remember to be careful out there.
Oh also, yes, I have fogotten gloves on occasion. The most memorable and probably worst time was my first code, I was still riding as a non-EMT as I was waiting for my license to come back
An example of the 2 year degree option here in NH. This type of program really needs to be the minimum especially with the new standards coming down the pipe. I think we should try for this before there should be any increased scope of practice...
I only thought vagal nerve stimulation from the actual physical mechanism. Not how they are stimulated. It was just a far reaching grab at something with no real evidence.
There is no mention of this in the NH protocols either. Maybe it really is an attempt to stop unnecessary administration...

Many EMS providers come from backgrounds that differ greatly from EMS or medicine. That shouldn't be an issue.
Those are certainly important questions, also sleepless nights, type A personalities, how will you be to the lonely old lady who called at...
This is a great program for many places. Hopefully it can be adapted by many agencies to suit their needs. Nothing more frustrating then seeing a patient who calls 911 for non-emergencies simply because they don't know what else to do. If we can help these people in other ways, as this program...
medic417, is it still a "Sulfa" allergy then, or is it something different? Not second guessing you, just trying to understand more about it. If it is still considered a sulfa allergy, what is the cause for the difference in allergy? Again, curiosity.
You'll be happy to know that is illegal in NH now. And I believe a few other states as well. You cannot smoke with a minor in the vehicle. Fantastic law.
I saw no criticism. I saw someone assuming they knew me and what I do and what type of father I will be. I can take criticism. Also, those of us includes myself. I know what it can do, I have seen what it can do. I do understand your position with being concerned though and I commend it...
Wow, haven't been back to this thread since I posted it.
Thanks for the congratulations from all who gave it. We can't wait for Lillian Grace to come into this world.:)
I just wanted to let all the perfect people know that while I did get drunk, I had a designated driver, and my DD was...
Having a baby girl in January. Cant wait. Drunk as a skunk, went out tonight, as I found out this afternoon, and I can't wait to be a dad. So happy right now I just couldn't help but post. I guess it's sad that my spelling and grammar drunk is better than some sober. Oh well. Enjoy your night...
Lights and sirens....

Really, to try something new. I had friends who were volunteer and full-time at various places and I decided to give it a shot based on their descriptions of EMS.
The bonus of it all is I get to help people. I even enjoyed the dialysis derby when I was...

^ Seems straight forward.
Putting this picture up pains me....
At my old FT service we had light blue button ups and black BDUs with the company logo on one of the pocket flaps.
Long sleeve button in the winter with a faux turtle neck under it with company initials on it, short in summer with a couple of weeks a...

Not as many, but I would still be there and volunteer along with many others at my service. Of course in a perfect world EMS would be compensated reasonably and I would be a paid full-time EMS professional instead of a cube jockey/EMS volunteer.
There are a lot of unfair generalizations being...
