    Alberta paramedic exam

I just wrote the alberta Jurisprudence exam and failed the legislation aspect. That test is insane. I had a cheat sheet open and all of the resources I could imagine searching still ended up short. Those questions were ridiculous. Have you wrote this exam yet?

    Dystonia presentation

I have never heard of Benadryl for this before. What is the action of it in this case? I would assume the anticholinergic property. Does this typically resolve the dystonic symptoms completely?

When do you transport "EtOH" patients?

We have an Aid to Capacity form that you must fill out each time we do a sign off, if the patient doesn't meet the criteria then they go to the hospital either willingly or under a form with police. New Stretcher Technology

We have used the stryker power cot with the powerlift and onboard charging system for a couple of years now in out service and I don't think I have heard of a power malfunction more than five times. They seem to be very reliable and we never have trouble with the weight as we leave it outside of...

Shut this down if it's been discussed already, but have you guys ever gone down the path of an EMTLIFE shop of some kind? Just curious, I would rock a tee or sweater and slap some stickers on stuff. Maybe others would be interested?

Funny, I was laid out sick on my 7-off the other day and crushed the saga in the day I spent in bed recovering. I tried it in the "nerd suggested order" IV, V, I, II, III, VI. Excited for the new one now.

    EMS in Canada?

@StudentMedic I have seen a couple medics retire from our service. A couple off on injury too, it's just a matter of hit or miss. You could be in the best shape of your life and it takes one combative patient or one instance where a patient spazzes on you and your back is shot. There is no...

^^^ That may be the best and only book you need purchase for ECG foundations. I would start there and then do as Tigger suggested and get to work on the meds.

    EMS in Canada?

@StudentMedic Oil sands medic jobs are drying up. The gas prices have plummeted which makes those jobs scarce. I am a new ACP in Ontario and when I looked into being PCP out there the jobs were basically non existence. There are some but the ACP or EMT-P they call it out there is much more in...
