Health link and detroit EMS are the only two places in the metro area I know of that allow AEMTs to practice full scope, not sure about the rest of the state

I may be biased but go be a .mil medic. Pay/benefits are better, training is paid for, and if you hate it you can change rate/MOS or decline to re-enlist when your times up. Just make sure your rate/MOS is guaranteed in writing in your contract
1. Right now, great. DEMS is hiring 70, DMC is hiring, CEMS is hiring etc. there is a reason for these jobs always being available though...it is detroit after all, and not everyone can handle abused kids, stabbings, ODs and rapes for $8/hr.

I'm in an AEMT class now and IIRC mandatories are airway (combi), CPR, med admin, trauma & med assessment. Randoms are other basic skills like kedboarding. Definitely double check with your instructor though, I'm not 100%
