Just got tapped to take the brand new shinny AEMT course in PA. This is the first run of the program and including clinical (48) and lab (24) time will end up being a 250 hour program, this sound about right in other states that are using the AEMT level?
I was just reading the new EMS update from October, 2013 - Final. View Looks like PA DOH has made the rule changes to acknowledge AEMT in the State and has set up scope of practice as well.
Here in PA we part of the AHA test run with the High Quality CPR training, anyone else using the 800 high quality compressions with the pit crew approach ( up to 8 EMT/Medics in the team)? Think I heard our medic at the station saying it might be in the update for next year nation wide.
In a rural setting in Western PA here and stumbled across the above mentioned course; it is listed as accepted by NREMT for re-certification purposes...has anyone taken this course and/or comments about the delivery, material covered, etc..?
