no, pervs. I'm not asking if you are having sex w/ your partner....:P
Do you have a regular partner, and are they the same sex or opposite sex?
All 3 of my regular partners have been male. 1 treated me like a girl, 1 \was too big of a douche bag to treat me like anything and my current...
get on scene where pts c/c is "clear liquid coming from my mouth and making my pillow wet" The DIB was only a problem when he removed his O2 to smoke another cigarette.
Nothing like a little inbreeding at its finest.
I'm confident that this has been asked, and discussed, so no need to tell me to look it up. I want to discuss it....
Two times this week I've been en route to the hospital w/ unstable pt (1 head bleed, 1 really, really sick baby that ended up having a 106* fever after 17 miles of cooling...
I've searched online, and asked the HR director @ work, but I'm still not completely understanding how it works in regards to pregnancy. Is anyone familiar that can help me??
My hubby is having a vasectomy reversal Tuesday (12/9) assuming it works, I will have to have a cerclage and go on...
I've been in the field for over 6 months now, on a 911 ambulance for a 24 hour shift (there are 5 of us during the day, 3 at night) and I STILL have 3rd rider syndrome.
While I don't want to be balls to the walls, I'd love to run a decent call. Seriously, I've run 4 calls (all b/s...
so don't hang me Kev.....
Did you start out on a 911 ambulance or a transport ambulance... or something else, I guess.
I was very lucky to find a 911 job fresh out of school. We do our fair share of BLS, interfacility tranfers, but we are mainly a 911 provider.
WHERE are PALS, ACLS, PHTLS, etc classes being taught? Also, what about refresher courses?
I've searched and I swear I can't find anything besides instructor courses. Where am I needing to look?? Its not dire, my partner and I were looking to go ahead and get started.
I've still not had anythine heinous, but I'm positive I'm going to puke when I do.
I have done much better than I expected w/ vomit, diarrhea and other gross things... actually havent puked yet.
I'm having a problem finding gloves (disposable) We use nitrile only in our service. The smalls don't fit. The mediums are huge, like fall off, cant feel thru them huge. I need like a small-fat, or a medium-short. The small latex were perfect, there just isnt enough give in the small...
I've been in the field, full time on a 911 ALS truck for 6 months.
I've been eyeing a paramedic program offered at a tech school about 1 hour from home.. heard so many great things about the program and some of the better medics I know went thru their class.
Anyway, I've just found out...
My service only has carseats. Some medics put the infant/toddler on the bench seat travelling sideways, some install the seat directly onto the stretcher.
I'm a CPST and pushing hard to get something better. A. its DANGEROUS to transport a child in a seat sideways B. installing it on the...
Oh my gosh, I'm dying here... in the 100ish hours I've worked so far this week and last, I've turned the l/s on TWO TIMES (I work for a 911 service!)
Its almost comical at this point... if I'm in the south part of the county, the north part is blowing up the radio. If I go to the north...
I'm so excited.. I begin my 24/48 schedule on 6/7. I am working for a national company about 12 miles from home. Its both 911 and transport (not much transporting from this station) so I should get lots of experience in both areas pretty quickly.
I'm very excited... and green... and scared...
I have had 2 job offers... hopefully this will make sense.
I applied at a transport service on the recomendation of my instructor. I went for an interview, the guy wasnt in. I did a little interview with his partner and didnt hear anything for 10 days. In the meantime, I began applying at...
I've had numbers for weeks now but it seems like I've had a hard time finding a job. WELL, this week I managed to get 2 offers... 1 from a national company that does 911, the other from a smaller company that does not. I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons for both company...
What...
And how long is that shift?
I interviewed at a company in Atlanta today.. I'm pretty sure they said they average 11 calls per truck per 24 hour shift.
I'm just being nosey and wondering where that falls in the "norm". The company that I did ride alongs with varied tremendously. 1 Monday...
This pic came in an email addressed "ET has been located alive and well, selling drugs" I must be a real EMT now, my immediately thought was ":censored::censored::censored::censored:, we dont have a c-collar long enough for dude..."
