I really don't think volunteer=inexpierence. Where I live we have quite a few volunteer companies, mine being one of them and we are the biggest and best for a big area! We also have paid positions, though many people do volunteer. So it really depends on your location, we have many volunteers...

Impulse, I'm not even sure what you are talking about! We only have 3 stations, medical, trauma, and CPR. I'm not taking the national test, merely my state tests for PA. Were not required to take the national test. But thank you for your pointers.
