When you run a SIDS death and the infant beyond attempting resiscutation whats your school of thought. Tell the parents there is nothing you can do and let the parents attempt to wrap their head around it and say goodbye or grab the baby and run for the truck?
I recently had a SIDS death.
Well I stated the journey last August by starting paramedic school. I never thought it would come but I finished class in July. I took a national reg prep class, in which, I'm going to say I learned more than my year of class time. Or at least more made sense. I took my practical exam the first...
So I had my first Mega Code in the field as a Paramedic Student. It went picture perfect. We had just the right number of people. I got my intubation and even got ROSC back by the time we got to the hospital. I'm super excited. We'd ran several very serious calls that day including three codes...

I am wanting to put together a DWI program to do for high school aged kids. I found the Every 15 Minutes program but it requires a lot of resources. Does anyone else have any programs geared toward kids 15-19 that would make an impact.

So I was in the ER the other night getting ready pick up a patient when another service brings in this guy. I look up from paperwork to see that he looks like a fine upstanding citizen and then go back to my ratkillin. next thing i know he is yelling at the doc....doc is yelling back. He informs...
So i've been in EMS about 14 months now. This week I my first child abuse call and actually now i've done two in 3 days. Both were extreme cases of child abuse. I realize that our job at times can be emotionally straining and No i'm not thinking about throwing in the towel I love what i do. I...

I went to college to be a Police Officer and got my EMT after being called to a...
