Austin County EMS is no where near Austin. The City Of Austin is in Travis County, TX. Austin-Travis County is the sole 911 transport provider within the city, and there are no IFT's. However, to work the street, you must be a Paramedic. You can work dispatch if you are an EMT.

I'd go with the dealer/rep who can provide you with the greatest service. Most AED's are the same, and a knowlegable rep who is responsive an educated can make a lot of difference.
