I get what you guys are saying, that being said all these issues started occurring right after switching pcr programs. Was the only common thing. Had a lot of drives fail and crews noticing how hot the thoughbooks are.
Has anyone had experience with ESO solutions PCR running on toughbooks and them significantly overheating to the point of hard drive failure? If so any solutions?
Thank you
In michigan thats a level 2 trauma activation. The ER goes nuts...freaks the poor patient out.
Once u complete a report and digitally sign it, it should be impossible for anyone to alter it. Thats how medical records work. You may be able to add amendments or strike out but it would be obvious...
Not a HW question. Had a similar scenario where we had the meds from the patient before and then had another transfer for a ashmatic and luckily had no issues but was thinking about what I was going to do if there were.
Need an opinion, say you have a patient with severe asthma that albuterol would be indicated. per your protocol you can administer nebulized albuterol. Your service does NOT provide you with albuterol on the trucks.
Four scenarios:
You are also an asthmatic and cary your own solution for...
All the kalamazoo guys/gals are great but their actual transports are done by Life. The police and fire show up and provide preliminary care until a life unit gets there.
In most places in order to practice at all you need a medical director. All of the little things you do when you follow simple protocol and guidelines are technically "standing orders" written by the medical director overseeing your service. In reality there is no autonomy for anyone below a...
Are any of you using the figure 1 app to learn new things? Medical professionals post cases and pictures and ask for input from the community. Personally as a medical student I have been able to use some of my knowledge but really learned a lot of new things...
I may or may not have a vague recollection of a friend falling onto a beer bottle around a camp fire, those words being said and that friend waking up with some very crooked stitches on his rear end the next morning.
This is definitely not standard practice and NOT ok, I have been a certified lifeguard for 10 years and have NEVER actually done forced breathing on another human for practice. Its always with dummies and if not, we just say "breath breath". This is just un-sanitary. Do you know what...
The tidal volume is the amount of air that enters or leaves the lungs in a single respiratory cylce (Resting Conditions/Normal Breathing) It is usually about 500ml (70kg Male).
Depending on what values they give you, The Total ventilation or the Minute Volume (Ve) is the Tidal Volume X...
This is quite interesting where this has all gone. From a personal experience, I am not exactly sure what I would rather have. I have had a nice 2 hour run of A-Fib with actual QRS's getting thru at about 203bpm and god knows how many P waves there were. I got the pleasure of adenosine x3 and...
So excuse my ignorance but I am currently watching night watch on a and e and they had a elderly gentleman conscious with tachycardia 160 to 200. They tried adenosine twice then looked at the guy and said well gonna have to hit you with some energy. Shocked him with 50 then 100 joules perfectly...
This is just plain unfortunate.
I was helping a doc while he was placing a art line and there was a pre-med student observing, as soon as the blood flashed I hear a thud behind me. Poor girl just tanked right out and got a porcelain sink to the head on the way down. Nice head wound decent...
