New EMT Unsure About Recent "Headache" Call

The same thing happened to my daughter--bumped her head skiing and vomited a couple of hours later. We called the ED and they told us in no uncertain terms to bring her in. She was no longer in pain by the time we got to the ED. The ED physician still recommended some scans because the...

    EMT -- Medical Skill Sheet

I practiced out loud, mostly while driving. Getting used to saying the words out loud helped me. I also approached the skills sheet as if I were going to teach it to a class or make an instructional video. So I would narrate what I was doing and then I would do it. That helped me...

The take home message of those papers seem to be that bystander CPR and early defibrillation are the only factors that significantly improve patient outcome in cases of cardiac arrest. That conclusion doesn't...

    RC Health Services

Hi all, I am considering enrolling in an EMT-B class with RC Health Services. I would do the didactic portion on line and do the skills and clinical in person (obviously). The only posts I could find about this RC Health Services are a couple of years old. Have any of y'all gone this route...

    The Official EMTLIFE Introduction Thread

Hello. I'm Scott, from just North of Houston. I have a career as a patent attorney. I am considering taking an EMT-B course so that I can volunteer with my local EMS provider. I've been lurking here for a while and I appreciate all of the great information.
