    EMT in training

I’ve been an EMT for 8 years and I work for a busy 911 service in MA where we respond BLS and have ALS intercepts. My biggest tip is simple listen and study your tests if you see your going downhill because alot of teachers use a test generator. During class you may do ride time or hospital...

    Narrative vs entire PCR

I disagree with a lot that is written above. I am an EMT in MA for almost 8 years on a busy 911 service. I do about 100-125 calls a month myself and I can say I do not half *** any narratives. If your giving IM Epi, Narcan or Albuterol document your drug doses. Providing a BS narrative is only...

    My wife doesn't understand

I agree, if your a medic. I have been apart of some very critical ALS IFT calls. I am a basic and my city runs BLS with a double medic intercept. It's where all the BLS want to be especially if they have enough transfer experience

    My wife doesn't understand

The pay is comparable. I would be taking a .31 hit and still within the same dollar figure. It's about a 740 dollar loss yearly with a bunch of overtime to make up for the loss. The schedule might change but I am going to try to keep it the same as possible and she has this picture in her...

How much time should I spend studying prefixes/suffixes?

"The bronchi themselves branch many times into smaller airways, ending in the narrowest airways (bronchioles), which are as small as one half of a millimeter across"

How much time should I spend studying prefixes/suffixes?

Best thing I can say is learn the main ones. Your EMT training will kick in. For instance... Itis means inflammation Bronchitis means inflammation of the bronchioles You already know the basic A&P so when someone refers to bronchioles you know it's in the lungs and it's effecting the smaller...

Hi, My name is Joe. I have been an EMT for almost 5 years now and I was thinking about doing the advanced to medic transition over my career but I work in mass and they don't honor the advanced down here yet.
