Thats very good to hear. There's many others but royal seems to be good place. Or Falck maybe.People somewhat jokingly say they are ran by the mafia. For a mom and pop ambulance shop, they are actually pretty big in Alameda and Santa Clara County. I hear mostly positive things about them. I've never asked anyone their pay or work schedule though.
If you can, go for Falck. Falck is the 911 provider for Alameda County so it'll be very competitive to get in. AMR is also another good choice, but they only do non emergency interfacility transfers (like Royal) in Alameda County. AMR is a good option because they are union and have 911 contracts throughout California, especially the Bay Area. AMR does 911 in San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Contra Costa County, Santa Cruz County, Santa Rosa, Stansislaus, San Joaquin, and they are backup in San Francisco with some dedicated 911 cars. AMR has a bad reputation outside of the Bay Area, but complete opposite in the Bay Area. Generally AMR is the best private you can work for in the Bay Area, usually highest paid, best benefits, and both EMTs and paramedics can make a career working there.Thats very good to hear.
