I can vouch for Garcia's 12 lead book. Hands down the best I have seen and I have either read multiple entirely or read through various chapters of others. No idea about those two.

Turns out the Williams ‘ECGs Made Incredibly Easy 6th ed’ only covers the basic arrythmias and doesn’t include ‘advanced’ ECG content like Wellens and Brugada syndrome.

@Gurby @StCEMT — does Garcia cover the aforementioned?

I don't know if it does include those specifically in the advanced section or not, I haven't read that level yet. I will say it is VERY detailed though. Various forms of hypertrophy, axis, p/qrs/t wave morphology, possible causes of all of those, etc. You will be able to break apart an EKG very well.

Even if Wellens etc isn't in there, you can find those in LITFL's site easily enough. Garcia will give you a phenomenal foundation to build on.

I don't see any specific mention of Wellens' or Brugada syndrome in the glossary. But the chapter on "ST Segment and T Waves" is 93 pages long, and the section on acute MI is 77 pages long - I think there's probably enough depth there for the needs of just about anybody but a cardiologist.

I could've sworn that Wellen and Brugada was covered in Garcia's book, but I guess not. I couldn't find it. I'm another fan of the book, but I don't think it goes into that much detail with arrhythmias. It is very focused on interpreting 12-leads, not specifically rhythm interpretation. It really only briefly covered rhythms in the beginning. He did write another book for rhythms. Also you shouldn't just read one book on this topic, but multiple. I know for sure that Amal Mattu's Emergency Physician 1 and 2 has Wellen and Brugada in it, but it is a practice book with answers rather than something you read to learn.
