Oh well, just about every medevac company is probably struggling I know ours is....covid=broke. Funny about comparison to flight suits. My company is doing furloughs and potentially layoffs, yet we have the $$ for new flight suits for over 100 nurses and who knows how many pilots.

Can you please elaborate where you heard this? I have a LOT of rotor friends in my company with Air Methods vendor who would like to know more.

I fly fixed wing in AK, but my company also vendors with Air Methods for rotor......haven't heard this news.

Not to mention clearing your ears with an N95 or any PPE on descent isn't exactly easy. And then the sweat/snot factor of using an N95 on our 2-4 hour flight times (not fun).

They run for 8-12 hours, are rated for use at altitude, and work fine in fixed wing environments without headsets. I’m approaching this topic from the fixed wing side of things where helmets are not used.

we are fixed wing only at this base, but there are no papr/helmet compatible units that I know of.
