How much experience do you have and is it 911, transfer or both.
Armstrong - metro north of Boston, 911 and transfer work. 911 is a lot of intercept work, medford is a transporting unit. The transfer ALS trucks see 50/50 911 and transfers. BLS do mostly transfers.
Action - have a fair amount...
Their last orientation was mid-March, so expect the next orientation to be in mid-May. Call Erica in HR, or stop by, if you haven't heard anything about back by next week. You should get an e-mail about orientation days for BLS, Tue-Wed-Thu. Add Friday for ALS. It runs 8-4. It will run until 5...
Maybe I'm playing devil's advocate here and hate that some of my close friends did this, but some of these people were amazing EMT's and medics. Some took shortcuts and some had personal things going on in their lives where they couldn't take off from work to take a refresher. Also it is...
If you are wondering about suspension lengths
Permanent - running the whole thing
2 years - involved, handling money and the paperwork to give to Leo
9 months - signed the roster and used it towards recertification
45 days - signed the roster but didn't need it refresher to recert yet...
I know 36 people on that list and have worked with most of them.
My paramedic instructor is on that list.
And I've worked with 2 of the 4 people with 2 years suspensions. I worked with one of them as recently as last Saturday.

One of my BLS co-workers got his NH medic a few months back...
OEMS has been doing that con-ed thing for years.
I know people that haven't been to a recert class in years. If you needed a CPR card by TOMORROW, you knew who to go to. If you didn't want to take the 24 hour BLS refresher or the 48 hour ALS refresher, you also knew who to go to. If you...
I just read that article a bit ago. 200, even 600 EMT/paramedics is such an understatement. In MA alone, so far about 2500 people falsified their recert.
It was so widespread and widely accepted that even almost every private company and FD knew it was going on. Honestly, something like...
The last truck that was purchased with the side window was in late 2005. It cost extra to have that put in, but that is being done away with for privacy and cost.
Lifeline and Trinity have them too, but the Lifeline trucks that have them used to be Trinity trucks. I know there is one more...
